The room was DIRTY- stains on the couch, dirt on the floor, dirt/dust on the baseboards, caulking haphazardly all over the place, chipped/dented furniture. I'm using the term mildly because I've stayed in nicer Holiday Inns. The grounds are pool are nice, but in NO WAY does the hotel reflect the Waldorf brand. The hotel bills itself as a "Waldorf Astoria". For my dad's 75th birthday, I decided to cash in some Hilton Points (320,000 actually) and treat him to a trip to the Waldorf Astoria Casa Marina in Key West. I travel frequently for my job and ONLY stay at Hilton hotels (by choice). I have been a loyal Hilton customer for the past 5.5 years. I voiced my concerns to the front desk who had no resolution for me. In addition, the housekeeping did not fold blankets or even sweep the floor. However, there was nothing in the room stating this. In addition, we had to request our sheets to be changed! Housekeeping would only come in and make the bed- no fresh sheets unless we asked?!? They said it was a part of their new "environmental policy". Happy birthday, Dad.Īnd if you missed it before, let me repeat- STAINS ON THE COUCH AT THE WALDORF ASTORIA. My dad even commented- "This place is really dirty".
